When someone says 'shed home' do you think a rusted zincalume shack from the set of Storm Boy?
Well get set to be pleasantly surprised with the luxury you can achieve with a shed home. With so many cladding options available, the possibilities are endless.
Rusty Shack meet Rural Elegance
Teaming up with local architect, Sophine Pfuhl, this low maintenance, off grid, rural home became a work of art.
Tin lined ceilings, concrete floors and feature timber work throughout, what a start.
Let's take a look at a few style options and you'll see the possibilities with a shed home are endless.
If you're something rustic/rural, tin lined ceilings like this one are a fantastic.
If that's not your style, no problem, we can also do gyprock or suspended plasterboard.
Internal Walls :
For this home, by utilizing limestone blocks as feature walls, not only did we add flare, but it also allowed for a superior energy rating. Retaining warmth in winter and staying cool in the summer.
A winning feature of building a shed home is that the entire structure is supported by the external frame which means the whole area is your blank canvas to deign your rooms exactly as you desire.
Beyond being able to place your internal walls anywhere within the structure you can line them with almost anything.
Plasterboard, tin, timber or have them built from brick or blocks.
External Walls :
As with the internal walls, even your external walls can be clad in different materials to create a welcoming external facade to you home.
As seen here, you can have traditional zincalume, Colorbond or clad with features such as this cultured stone.
With all these options just for these 3 areas, just imagine how much you can customize your home with everything else. If all those options seem daunting, no need to worry, our team here at Southern City Building along with local architect/designer Sophine Pfuhl will be there through it all to help with any design details, provide inspiration or put together a design to suit your own personal style.
Give us a call, come and see us, or send us an enquiry, we'll be happy to explore these options further.
